Over the course of the past twenty-seven years I have been sharing my love of gardening with the people of Austin and Central Texas. Either through the television program that I host for KLRU, Central Texas Gardener, or my radio program, The Wildflower Hour, I have tried to grow as a gardener and help others to do so. I have also tried my hand at writing about why so many of us experience life in a deeper way when we garden, and that is what Soul of the Garden is all about.
This site brings together articles that I have written, photographs I have taken, and ideas that have inspired me. I invite you to wander down the paths in this virtual garden with me.
The Daily Muse, my
on-line journal, is the real heart of this virtual garden. It is
there that I try to tell the story about my love of gardening and its
impact on my life. Here, I share my day-to-day experiences
in "Possumhaw Hollow," the place that I call
home. I hope that during your visit to my "on-line oasis" you will feel some of that same sense of calm and connection
that my garden provides for me.
I have also had the good fortune to produce a Soul of the Garden video series for KLRU-TV. You can view that series by following this link.
I hope that you will take the time to send along your comments and thoughts about your visit. Every week I hear from people all over the world - I look forward to hearing from you.
Grow in peace,
Tom Spencer
